IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 21, 2010— Susan Johnson, CEO of Susan’s Healthy Gourmet, LifeSpring Home Nutrition and Xan Confections, will be among eight speakers presenting tactics to impact multiple aspects of running a successful business at Entrepreneur Magazine’s “Winning Strategies for Business” Conference, Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the Long Beach Conference Center.
Johnson’s presentation, “It’s Never Too Late To Launch,” will cover her experiences as a late-blooming entrepreneur and her strategies for growing three successful, synergistic companies.

Inspired by an entrepreneurial father and a passion for both health issues and gourmet cuisine, Johnson founded Susan’s Healthy Gourmet in 1996 and pioneered the concept of delicious, nutritionally balanced and calorie-controlled meals that are prepared from scratch, packaged and delivered twice weekly to homes and businesses throughout Southern California.
Over the years, and in partnership with daughter Kerry Johnson Anthony, now president of the three companies, Johnson identified additional business opportunities and thus has grown exponentially. Newest venture Xan Confections was launched in early 2009 and already has nationwide distribution. The full-day conference event will provide ideas and solutions for business growth, with seminars on topics including branding, SEO, sales, funding, management and social networking.
