Oh how I love the holidays! “Cold” weather, time spent with family and friends, shopping and of course the special foods that only make their appearance once a year. This year for our company party, Susan and Kerry wanted to have a fun and relaxed luncheon with Secret Santa and lots of good food. Our fantastic chef, James made delicious BBQ ribs, fajitas, and the best guacamole ever (with the help of our very own Carissa, nutritionist-extraordinaire). The rest was up to everyone else to bring their most favorite holiday dish. Susan knows how much we all love to cook and share our favorites with everyone, so this was a big hit! We had so many delicious little goodies that ranged from that wonderful green bean casserole (what holiday party would be complete without it?) to queso dip, little baby cheesecakes, Rice Krispy treats, four types of salsa, potato casserole, and a very life-like, gelatin Santa! It was quite the spread; and I only mentioned half of the goods that people brought.

We successfully carried out a lovely Secret Santa exchange with just under 70 people thank you very much! It was so great to see gifts go back and forth to really cool people that I work with every day and watch their faces light up when they open them. I love that game. Then to top it off, Susan and Kerry had a nice thing to say about each and every one of us, and proceeded to let us pick out a gift bag that Susan had personally hand-picked each item for and prepared each one. They are the best! We were all surprised by a very thoughtful employee, Gonzallo, who arranged not only all of the music for our party but dancers too! Yes dancers. All of a sudden this couple walks in, the music starts and they are spinning around like the champs of Dancing with the Stars! It was a great end to a great party.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!

Here are a few pics from our fun day…
