Once a month at Susan's Healthy Gourmet, we celebrate one of our outstanding employees by surprising them with an "Employee Appreciation Day!"

Once an employee is selected, he or she receives a surprise visit at their desk from Susan and Kerry, who bear the good news that it's "Employee Appreciation Day." The employee is whisked away from the office for a fun treat (like a manicure, for the ladies) and is able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon off.

Susan's Healthy Gourmet, LifeSpring Nutrition and Xan Confections received the 2011 Family Owned Business Award from the Orange County Business Journal on Wednesday, Nov. 30!

Susan was "stunned" to receive the honor, but she, along with Kerry, John and Mike, were proud to accept the award on behalf of their three companies and join the OCBJ and CSUF Family Business Council in celebrating family owned businesses in Orange County.
