Wendy continues doing a fantastic job and we are so proud of her! Here's to her health, happiness and successful weight loss!
Here is her blog from this week:
I went to see my almost 90 year old Grandmother today Feb. 12th. She has wanted to pass over for the last 5 years so badly ever since my Grandfather, her husband of 68 years passed. At first she really tried to hang on but in the last 24 months she has slowly just given up. Today she hardly had the energy to look or talk with me. After 30 minutes of my dog Cappy and I talking, hugging and kissing her she opened her eyes and told me I looked pretty and told me how proud she is of me. Not until I got safely inside my car did I let my tears fall. I do not remember the 55 minute drive home, it was as though some auto pilot just took over.
When I had to talk with my Mom I found that my Yoga Pratic was about to give me strength that I did not know I had by breathing which is something I honestly forgot how to do until I returned to my daily practice. As I listened to my Mother I realized that it is my Grandmother but it is her Mom. My mom is so brave, she reassured me to celebrate our grandmother’s life and to only think of the happy times, like our girls trip to Europe in 1982. On that trip it was my gram, mom, sister and myself for 6 weeks driving and taking the inaugural return of the famous ORIENT EXPRESS train ( I have funny stories from that trip), I take deep ughi breaths in order to keep myself composed.
At that moment I thank you Susan’s Healthy Gourmet for giving me back my life. I am very grateful today and will never again just throw away my time. I had forgotten how precious life is and how we as humans need love, friendship and camaraderie whether it is your family you gain your strength from or your food friends that make up your family. I realize it is not just me "Wendy" that so wants to be loved and accepted it is all people in some form that want be loved.
Thank you Susan, Carissa, Terry, Steph and the whole gang at Susan’s Healthy Gourmet for without your generosity I would not be back into life and breathing yoga.
Yours,
Wendy

Here's what Wendy had to say about her past week:
I had an A-HA moment this week.
I finally found away to rid myself of this depression. YOGA!!! Along with eating right.
My good friend/teacher Maria is coming over for the next 12 days to help jump start my Yoga routine. Years ago we went thru our teacher training together so she knows me and no matter what I say she makes me do yoga. Funny thing is 15 minutes into our practice I always say, "wow this feels so good!"
What will it take for me to get my body and head back? I need to eat right and do yoga!! It’s like feeling a runners high or how bike riders feel; it’s a rush. I find when I am eating right, Susan’s helps me do that, and I do Yoga everything seems to work. Eating right is the first step but exercise is definitely the second step. If you don’t have the two working together you’re never going to get anywhere with your weight loss and this week I finally realized how important Susan’s and the Yoga is to my success.
I still however go through the daily battle of getting my lazy butt to Yoga but when I do, man do I feel GREAT!!!
I have also found myself having the oatmeal as a snack after dinner. It has really helped keep the hunger away when I have one of those sleepless nights.
I have to say I so love my food and the fact I can take it with me makes me never feel deprived of healthy food.
I am still 150 but I can fit into many more clothes and today my 14 year old niece Tata said, "You look thinner" that is a big deal coming from a 14 year old.
My blood work will be back next week so I will let you all know what the Dr said and I can tell you my blood pressure is low and my resting heart rate has improved.
I see 149lbs next week for sure!!
