SHG Driver Shows Dedication

  If you live in Sourthern California you are well aware of the mean storms that these winter months have brought in recently. Last week there was a really bad storm that left one of our delivery drivers stuck in the Cajon pass on Monday night. Luckily the van was completely fueled and he was able to run the engine for heat to last through the night. When Kerry, president of SHG found out that Hector was going to have to spend the night in his truck she was worried sick! We just want to give a big thanks to Hector and to the rest of our drivers for the hard work and dedication that they put into their jobs on a daily basis just to make sure that our valued customers get their meals on time. This particular driver works for our sister company LifeSpring Nutrition, delivering meals to our senior customers who very much depend on their meals to get the nutrition they need. Our drivers know the importance of getting the meals to our customers and do whatever they can (like spend the night snowed in their van) to make sure they can be there when our customers are waiting. Thanks again to our delivery drivers, you guys are the best!

Happy Holidays!

Each year the holiday season brings about a feeling of not only joy but STRESS as well! The freeways are crowded, the shopping malls are packed and even Santa can't keep up with a busy line at his toy shop! However, every year the Johnson's, owners of Susan's Healthy Gourmet find time to make the holidays extra special for their employees. This year we went and celebrated at Italian Restaurant Bucca de Beppo and we had an amazing time. Many of the employees could not stress enough how thankful they were to work for a place that felt just like home, and it's true, it's like working with family everyday. We had lunch family style, sharing appetizers, lunch plates and even passing around all the delicious desserts because that's what we are here at SHG, family!! After lunch, Susan passed around a basket of goodies and we all got to share with each other the favorite part of our jobs, and the Johnson's shared their favorite part about each and everyone of us individually. I just wanted to take this time, on behalf of all of us here at SHG, to say thank you! Thank you Susan for being such a great mentor, Kerry for being such a great leader and John aka John-John for always being there for us! I know I would not love my job as much as I do if it were not for the three of you and I know for a fact everyone else feels exactly the same way! I also wanted to take this time to share our holiday story with our customers so that you all could understand all the spirit that is shared here, especially during the special holiday season. We hope you all have a happy and safe holidays and to the Johnson's thanks again!!
